Repeat client Southend City Council came to us to create a film which aimed to start a conversation with residents about the future development of Southend. They were particularly keen to hear from young people and those under-represented in traditional surveys. We brought together groups and opinions from across Southend and worked with the YMCA, Southend College, and arts organisations to find participants for the film and develop scripting and approaches. We also supported members of these groups to make their own content around these themes. The film opens with aerials of the city centre and takes us on a journey through the aspirations of young people for their city and themselves.
